The Black Lady Therapist has A Space Just for You
You are invited to be a part of our Therapy Support Groups for African American Women

You Are Not Alone in This Journey
Sister, we see you. We see you carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders while still showing up with grace and strength every single day. We see you navigating spaces where you have to be twice as good to get half the recognition, where your emotions are policed, and where finding someone who truly understands your experience can feel impossible.
It's time to set that burden down, even if just for an hour each week, and breathe in a space created specifically for you.
Your Story Matters Here
Our therapy support groups are designed by and for African American women who understand that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. We know that your mental health journey intersects with your identity in ways that can't be separated or minimized. Whether you're dealing with trauma that runs generations deep, battling anxiety and depression while maintaining your "strong Black woman" image, or trying to find balance as a mother, partner, daughter, and professional—your experiences are valid, and your healing matters.

What We'll Explore Together
In our circles, we'll create brave spaces to discuss the real issues affecting our daily lives. We are only just beginning so expect our themes to morph and expand. Right now we are keeping it at basics, that I know so many of you are looking for.
Healing from Within: Processing trauma, managing depression and anxiety, and breaking cycles that no longer serve us
Motherhood & Family: The joys and challenges of parenting while healing ourselves, setting boundaries with family, and redefining what family means to you
Love & Relationships: Building healthy romantic partnerships, surviving toxic relationships and intimate partner abuse, and learning to love ourselves first
Friendship & Community: Navigating difficult friendships, finding your tribe, and creating authentic connections
Professional Life: Dealing with workplace racism and microaggressions, thriving in corporate spaces while staying true to yourself, and managing career-related stress
Personal Growth: Releasing perfectionism, setting boundaries, and embracing your authentic self without apology

Why Group Support
There's something powerful that happens when Black women gather with intention. In our groups, you'll find:
Understanding without explanation: No need to provide context about why certain experiences hit differently
Shared wisdom: Learning from women who've walked similar paths and found their way through
Collective strength: Drawing power from the resilience that flows through our shared experiences
Safe vulnerability: Permission to be human, imperfect, and real without judgment
Cultural affirmation: Healing approaches that honor our heritage and values
Your Healing Journey Starts Here
Our first pilot groups launch in September 2025, and we're excited to walk alongside you as you reclaim your peace, power, and purpose. These sessions will be conducted online through Simple Practice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant portal that ensures your privacy and confidentiality while allowing you to connect from the comfort of your own space. We will be able to see and engage with each other in real time.
This isn't about fixing what's "broken"—it's about nurturing what's already beautiful and strong within you while giving you tools to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and self-compassion.
You've spent so much time taking care of everyone else. Now it's time to take care of you.
Ready to join us? Your seat in the circle is waiting, and your voice is needed in this sisterhood of healing.
Because your mental health matters, your story matters, and you matter—exactly as you are.
